| Jean Schwab is program manager and senior analyst in the Municipal & Industrial Solid Waste Division at EPA Headquarters. From there she manages GreenScapes, which she developed and intiated for the Environmental Protection Agency as a program designed to help preserve natural resources and prevent waste and pollution by encouraging more holistic decisions regarding waste, water, chemicals, energy, and land use. Jean has worked in the resource conservation and recycling field for 14 years - including over 11 years at EPA. She has developed dozens of publications on composting and compost use to promote organic waste reduction many of which can be seen at the EPA's compost site. She has a Bachelor's degree in Business and Master's degree in Urban & Environmental Planning from the University of Virginia. She was a speaker at the 2006 MELA G-3 Conference.
