| Christine Nye has been horticultural manager at Shedd Aquarium since 1998. She began working inside the aquarium on exhibit spaces with animals, so it was a natural transiction to take organic practices to the care of the grounds. She is now researching the benefits of compost tea applications on the Shedd's grounds and with the Chicago Park District and others to improve the qualilty of the landscapes without conventional fertilizers. |
