Frequently asked questions
Why New Membership Rates?
Our new rates provide better and more equitable services to every member. They also:
Charge more fairly: Right now, our organizational membership fee of $125 applies to all companies, from those that gross under $150,000 annually to those that gross over $10 million annually. This wide disparity is corrected with our new fees. We are also including special rates for full-time students, municipalities, government agencies and not-for-profit companies.
Offer more benefits: MELA's new fee structure will support our mission and bring you increased benefits in 2012: more education – in virtual and real time formats and at low cost per event, opportunities to showcase what sustainable work you are doing, dialogue between professionals and potential customers and like-minded colleagues, and as always, the best conference on sustainable landscaping in the Midwest.
Open MELA membership to individuals who are not professionals in the landscape industry.
How will my membership be converted to the new rates?
If you are already a MELA member, you will receive notification well in advance of the date that your membership is due to auto-renew, instructing you to REENTER information about your company that will determine your new membership rate.
If your existing membership auto-renews BEFORE you have a chance to convert to the new schedule, we will assist you in converting and will give you the appropriate discount for what you have already paid on the old fee schedule.
