Liz Karns is a lawyer and author in the Chicago area. She specializes in issues involving trees, lawns, gardens, and plants. She
brings together her scientific knowledge and legal training to address property law, liability issues, and general neighborliness. She has published recently in Chicagoland Gardener and the National Association of Realtors on tree and garden law issues. Her website, Law of the Garden, is used by hundreds of people to gain basic legal information on tree and garden laws. She was a speaker at the 2006 MELA G-3 Conference.
