Membership is $40 per individual (students $30) and $100 per business.

That's the nutshell. Here's the meat.

• Dues for “Organizations” are now $100 per year. That includes the opportunity for your business or institution to have its website linked to the MELA site on the “Membership” page. It also allows an unlimited number of your employees or members to attend MELA functions at discount rates.
• Dues for “Individuals” are now $40 per year, only a slight increase, and individual members will be listed on this site. Please note that individual members will NOT have their businesses or e-mail addresses linked on our website.
• Dues for “Students” are now $30 per year.

Remember, your membership entitles you to a discount for each mini-conference or workshop and for each green industry tour. It entitles you to a discount on each activity MELA offers in the year to come, not to mention T-shirts.

Would you like to be a MELA Charter Member? Just join before March 1, 2006.

What is a MELA Charter Member? Charter Members are the people who build an organization. Some of you have been around since the beginning and some are coming on board now. If you are a current member on March 1, 2006, you will be permanently listed on the MELA website and in publicity materials (i.e., an ad in Chicagoland Gardening Magazine ) and will receive a MELA “Live Green and Prosper” decal for your vehicle. Of course, we will be accepting members after March 1, 2006, but they will not be considered Charter Members.
