Cantigny Gardens: www.Cantigny.org

The 500 acre estate of the late Robert R McCormick. It has 2 museums, a 27 hole campionship golf course, and 30 acres of formal display gardens.


Chicago Botanic Gardens: www.chicagobotanic.org

One of the green treasures of the Forest Preserve District of Cook County; a 385-acre living plant museum featuring 23 distinct display gardens surrounded by lakes, as well as a prairie and woodlands. With events, programs and activities for all ages, the Garden is open every day of the year, except Dec. 25.

Public garden at Chicago’s Millennium Park, offering year-round educational programs for adults and families.


The Morton Arboretum: www.mortonarb.org

Collects and studies trees, shrubs, and other plants from around the world, to display them across naturally beautiful landscapes for people to study and enjoy, and to learn how to grow them in ways that enhance our environment.


The Organic Gardener, Ltd.: www.theorganicgardener.net

The Organic Gardener, Ltd. helps families, schools, restaurants and institutions grow organic vegetable gardens. We offer a full line of services including design, installation, maintenance and teaching.


Shedd Aquarium: www.sheddaquarium.org

Display gardens surrounding the building demonstrate ways of combining native plants, vegetables and ornamentals to create habitats that provide food and shelter for wildlife and people.
