| Lynn Bement
is a Master Gardener since 1995 and a board member of
MELA. She earned her horticultural certificate from the
Morton Arboretum and completed her Master Composter
certification from Michigan State University and an
additional certification from Iowa State University. In
addition to speaking at garden clubs, Lynn specializes in
teaching composting and vermiculture. She is known for
her classes at the Morton Arboretum and Chicago Botanic
Garden and her work with children in school programs
throughout the Chicago-area suburbs. Lynn owns a local
horticultural business, The Organic Garden Coach, which
offeres a variety of essential services to promote
healthier gardens and landscapes for individuals,
